Weekend Away

During a recent trip to Germany, we spent a weekend in Austria with friends. Often, I find myself getting lost in this photo. It all seemed, and still seems, very surreal; dream-like. A dream I intend to visit often.

Blog? What Blog?

Hello. I’m still here. I’ve always been here. Its true, my blog is looking somewhat forlorn, but the reality is, life has been full and I just haven’t taken the time to sit down and write about it. So there you have it. No excuses. I may, or may not return. Writers block seems to have set in. :/

Autumn, the Year's Last, Loveliest Smile. -William Cullen Bryant

Every once in a while you get a photo or two that you really love. I love these! Just love ‘em. My hat’s off to Mr. Baker. He snapped these at our Pumpkin Party a week or so ago. This is the fourth year we’ve hosted the event for family and friends. After the carving and hayride, the kids took to the field. The years will fly by and they’ll quickly grow, but hopefully this golden day in October will be a childhood memory they’ll remember forever.

Life is Good

My blog is in shambles. I don’t call. I don’t write. But I can explain. Well, sort of. Consistently sticky temps have kept me beachside, lakeside, poolside and at times, beside myself. That summer to-do list was modified to relax and enjoy. However a quick peek at my calendar and reality sets in. September is lurking. My neglected house is breathing a sigh of relief. Time is running out for those overly reproductive dust bunnies but don’t break out the broom and dustpan just yet. I’ve got a couple more weeks. The back-yard hammock is calling my name. I’ve got just enough time to wrap up that summer read and daydream…
