The Back Forty

Lately I seem to be well stocked with photos but short on words to go along with ‘em. Today I’ll just let Mr. Muir fill in for me.

Christmas Past

On this Christmas Day, while most of you are off celebrating and making new holiday memories with friends and family, I'd like to share a few photos from my past.

Unlike most kids today, Cousin Brad and I were a little camera shy.

Grandma's Girl

Uncle Ed got quite a kick out of watching us play a serious game of cards on my new table (Notice the cards I'm holding were backwards).

Christmas Break Northern Style

It was an ideal day to dust off the skates and fetch the sleds. Nephews Noah, Kaleb and Jacob joined in and made our day complete. :)

Kaleb was showing Uncle Klynt just how high the water was last year.

All tuckered out.

First Snowfall

A few photos from last Friday’s wintry weather...thought I should post 'em before the next storm system that’s brewing, rolls into town. From what I hear, it’ll be here shortly.

Crazy how something so seemingly peaceful creates such chaos.

Kerstmarkt

We stopped by the Kerstmarkt in Holland on Saturday. It’s an open-air (outdoor) Christmas Market, Dutch style. The plan was to do a little holiday shopping and possibly get a few names crossed off our list。 However the wind was wicked and the snow started to fly. I’m not sure what we expected; it is December.
A spray or two of this holly would've been nice for the window box.

Sneak Peek

FYI, if you're a friend or relative of the Baker's, the photo on your Christmas card will look something like this. Not exactly, but close. Very-very close.

*I know how it looks, but we really don't have too much time on our hands.

BRRR!

Winter weather has boldly arrived in Western Michigan. Thirteen inches of snow and counting! More photos soon. Well, hopefully. I get sidetracked oh-so-easily. :)
