Deep Freeze

The Farmer’s Almanac predicted a lot more of this in the next couple of months. So if you need me, I’ll be sitting by the fire ‘till I see daffodils popping up.

Flashback

My little sister’s having a big birthday. In just a few days she’ll be turning the big three-o; as in thirty. So this is for you Jena. We may not be cuter, but we’re definitely older and a tad-bit wiser. ;) Keep flashing those dimples ‘cause the best is yet to come.

Cross-Country Afternoon

The Baker’s decided to go cross-country, via (our new) skis, on this gray, monochromatic Saturday. It’s a good way to “get the stink blown off you” as my Mother likes to say. ;)

Flashback

We’re going all the way back to 1979. I was two and loved dancing to music on Grandma’s old 45’s. She would braid my hair; lend me her beads, and open a box of animal crackers. It was nice to have a snack between records.

I’m thinking this (Flashback) may be a regular Friday “thing.” We’ll see how it goes, where it goes, or even IF it goes.

Loopy

My Wednesdays are usually spent with my nephew Jacob; who also answers to Henry. Ahem, anyway, on this particular afternoon we decided to whip up a paper-chain. Fifteen feet or so later…

2010

Well, well, well. I’m back from my unintended blogging hiatus. No job, no children, and I still fail to post consistently. That’s how it goes. We’re mid-way through January, but who’s keeping track? Obviously not me.

Snapped this on a walk. Hope you like fungus.
