March On!

I’m not even going to let myself think spring thoughts. I can’t, not yet. A generous amount of white stuff still covers the yard and neighboring fields, and I’m very certain our winter paraphernalia such as skis, scarves, mittens, and hats, will get more use. However, today the snowflake-covered mugs will slip quietly to the back of the cupboard and begin their seasonal hibernation. Anything that thrives in frigid temps will slowly, one-by-one, get tucked away. The days are getting longer. The urge to refresh and organize gets stronger. The sun shines more often. The birds are singing and sound happy. Seed catalogs arrive weekly, and who knows, maybe, just maybe, I’ll let myself take a sneak-peek. Shhh, don’t tell.
